Handiness in insulation resistance measurements

MIC-5 is a handy and handy insulation resistance meter that every self-respecting electrician can wear around his neck like a doctor’s stethoscope to always have it at hand. The device allows for a simple and quick assessment of insulation, checking the continuity of connections and measuring voltage on the object.

Characteristics

  • Insulation resistance measurement:
    • selectable measuring voltage: 250 V or 500 V,
    • continuous indication of the measured insulation resistance,
    • very long working time on one set of batteries: 14 h for measurement at U ISO = 250 V, 11 h for U ISO = 500 V,
    • automatic discharge of the capacitance of the measured object after completing the insulation resistance measurement,
    • acoustic determination of 5-second time intervals, facilitating the capture of time characteristics,
    • measuring current up to 1.4 mA,
    • protection against measuring live objects.
  • Low-voltage resistance measurement in the range of 0…1999 Ω :
    • measurement with current <10 mA with a resolution of 0.1 Ω,
    • quick acoustic signaling for a circuit with a resistance lower than 10 Ω.
  • Measurement of direct and alternating voltages in the range of 0…600 V :
    • automatic voltage type detection (DC/AC).
  • Automatic selection of measuring ranges.
  • Operation in 50 Hz and 60 Hz networks.
  • Backlit, easy-to-read LCD display.
  • Automatic shutdown of the instrument when not in use (AUTO-OFF).
  • Built-in flashlight.
